My name is Jaiya Figueras. Now let me warn you,I’m going to be real and honest with you here,so if you don’t like the occasional colorful word and down to Earth life experience,you’re probably not gonna want to keep reading this.

For the past 4 years I had been training down the hill towards Belmont Shore (the “big timers”of Long Beach..lol). I helped gather a bunch of unique and out of the box fearless warriors over the past few years and jumbled them all together into the kick a*s training group we call YNV (Your Next Victory Personal Training).
I devised a way to blend yoga,martial arts,traditional weight training,and a bunch of other workout methods and invent Movement Training.
Movement Training is a super simple way to think about your workouts.
So rather than think of training body parts during our workouts,we train the 5 basic human movements:
1. Up and Down (hip dominant and knee dominant) squats,lunges,deadlifts,etc.
2. Pushing- dumbell press,bench Press,Shoulder press etc.
3. Pulling- Pull ups,Rows,etc.
4. Twisting- Medicine Ball side throws,etc.
5. Locomotion- Moving from point a to point b multidirectionally.
This method has allowed me to train my clients the way human beings were genetically designed to move:Climbing,running after prey,having the strength to build and move on foot,and having the ability to evade things if necessary.
We are not cavemen but we are super in tune with the Earth.
All this stuff might sound kind of out there,but you’d actually have to show up and do a workout to find out what this Signal Hill personal training is like.
Most of the time we try and explain these workouts to our friends,we never do it justice. Honestly,it never seems to make sense to people until they come and try one of our workouts.
Bottom line,I am looking for some new blood to bring in to our new personal training gym in Signal Hill.
And not just any blood (no I’m not a vampire). We are looking for people that want it!
I mean really want it and are driven. You see drive comes from within the person.
The personal training program is just a reflection of that person’s drive.
We are down to earth but incredibly hard working so if you have gone to other Signal Hill personal trainers in the past that don’t challenge you mentally or physically,THIS AINT IT!
But before you read through I want to say that my classes are small (6 max) so I’m not looking to start a giant boot camp with 50 people in it.
That being said I’m not charging pennies for training because I have tons of people in my class like a bunch of other Signal Hill personal trainers and Long Beach Boot camps.
But I’m not charging an arm and a leg either. $15 to $25 a session.
And you have the opportunity to slash that in half or all the way down to zero with our “out of this world referral program”(can’t mention it here just in case our competition is reading). I’ve put in a good 23 years of sports,athletics,and coaching into the structure of this entire philosophy I call AFR-MC.
I came up with it almost 6 years ago when I pretty much sucked and felt like a loser.
I had no idea how to write my goals down and didn’t realize how pessimistic my mind had gotten due to recent failures with my relationship with my sons mom and not being where I wanted to be in my career.
Its like I forgot everything that helped me to be a successful athlete in high school and college as if it were a dream.
I forgot who I was. In 2005,I met my mentor at a gym and he sat me down and wrote out a simple success plan on a scratch piece of paper.
It went kinda like this:Where are you now. where do you want to be, and what is the fastest way to get there, and I was off to the races! Everything started to change for me almost magically.
I decided to implement all of the tools that I learned in my personal training business so my clients could benefit from the same personal development strategies.
I mean that’s why your here right? You want to become a better person?! Yes leaner and more in shape,but lets be real,its to be a kick ass human being. 
“Back when I started working out with Jaiya Figueras ,I was at the lowest point in my life both mentally and physically. My whole life I had been active with sports and activities but in the years prior to my starting I ballooned up!
I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life. I wasn’t taking care of myself by exercising or eating right. A night out at the local club cocktailing it with my friends was much more appealing than lifting dumbbells. Not only physically was my life being impacted but mentally I found myself plummeting into a dark hole of depression. I reached the point where I knew I needed a life change. I began working out in November,2005. He designed an eating plan for me that is extremely easy to follow and I never felt hungry. Oh,don’t forget the water,it cures everything! Let me tell you it wasn’t easy by any means but mentally I was ready for the change. I was working out three times a week and my body was sore,like never before,but it felt great! Around the three month mark is when I began to notice my body changing significantly. It was as if one day I woke up and my body had completely changed. My body was becoming more toned and I was losing inches all over my body. A new confidence had also come over me and showed. Mentally I was physically fit as well! I remember having two pairs of what I would call “skinny” jeans in my closet. You know the ones that you used to be able to wear and were saving for “some day”. Well that some day arrived about 6 months into my training. At the six month mark I had lost 40 pounds and dropped three sizes in clothing. I’m a new me and it shows both physically and mentally. Yes. I spent a year with Your Next Victory and it’s something I do for myself.
